Disasters can happen anytime and anywhere. When disaster strikes, you may not have much time to respond. In a large-scale disaster, local officials and relief workers will not be able to reach everyone immediately. Help could come in hours, or it may take days. Will your family be ready?

Create a family emergency plan now -- before disaster strikes! This web site will help you create your own personalized Family Disaster Plan. You'll enter some basic information about your location, your household members, your pets, possible meeting locations and out-of-town contacts. Then you'll be able to view and print your personalized plan.

Your completed plan will include important information about supplies you should keep on hand, creating a disaster supply kit to take with you in the event of an evacuation, contact information for your local emergency management office and much more.
